PRESS RELEASE

20-01-2012

Management Facilities Group and the Netherlands Shipping Inspectorate (ILT) Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment sign a joint covenant.

Karin Orsel, CEO of the Management Facilities Group and Jenny Thunnissen, Inspector General of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment, sign the covenant witnessed by the entire Management Team.

In this contract both parties declare that structural adjustments and improvements concerning compliance with the law and legislation will lead to a reduction in inspections and supervision. The covenant lays down various agreements that the parties have made in consequence of their own responsibilities in order to realise effective and efficient control with a minimum of supervisory frequency.
The covenant will serve as a guideline for the continuation of excellent business and safety achievements. MFG will assume its own responsibility concerning safety and sustainability, and is demonstrably striving to control all the risks.

MFG is the second shipping company/ocean carrier in the Netherlands with whom the Inspectorate has drawn up such a covenant and this makes us particularly proud.
Without the continuous efforts of all our employees ashore and at sea it would not have been possible.

“We believe in continuity and in investing in it, both at company level and there where people are concerned.”

MFG has faith in the future and will continue to build towards a great future on the basis of these excellent business accomplishments.
